You Are My MileYou Are My Mile
I'm a child though a woman,
Still strong I am.
When I see you there's always a few,
Who don't see eye to eye as we do,
And speak of us though not in a good way,
I don't care, we aren't part of this fray.
When I see you smile,
I can run the extra mile,
But when your gone I'm lost,
I could never lose you at any cost.
I'm strong with you at my side,
When I'm scare and can't hide,
I see you as my light in the sky,
I feel as if I can fly.
Though waves come crashing down and rain will fall,
"Help me now!" I hear myself call,
'Cause when I see you smile,
I can run the extra mile,
You're my song, That I long,
You are my mile.
People whisper every where,
About the color of your skin or the clothes you wear,
But we're all in a puzzle so we're going to be different,
A puzzle wouldn't be fun if we were all the every where we went,
That's what makes us unique,
Each of us is different every day of the week,
We're a puzzle called humanity,
And it need to become complete,
So unless we sit down and put it together,
We're gonna fight with one another,
We won't know the real picture,
Till we do it but we have to endure.
Wicked KindWicked Kind
Wonderlands coming to my mind,
The wicked are never kind,
So who took me to my dreams?
I saw a sneak peek and I know they're mean.
So how did I blast off in a rocket,
And end up with this ticket in my pocket,
To my dreams, to the best place in my life,
So where did they hide that evil knife?!
I know they wouldn't give me this unless there was a catch,
I guess I'll have to find its hidden match,
Who would I know that would play such a trick,
On me? How did their disguise get so thick?
There's only one way to find out and that is through their trap,
What evil do they have while I take a nap?
I searched for clues but only found me and my dreams,
This person must be fast on wings.
Whoever is in this is quite smart,
I've pulled every single inch apart,
Till I found myself in a room,
With only mirrors, what a clue!
But then I realized I was looking at me,
The master mind of this whole thing,
I didn't know my evil side could do that,
Then I looked at myself in a mirror and became
Rain is coming down to my relief,
I've been waiting all this time in the dessert,
You left me there at a river that was dry,
How could you leave me here to die?
I was scorched and you didn't care,
What had I done to you to deserve this?
The rain is pouring on my face,
Washing away everything about you leaving no trace.
The rain is cool on my mind,
I'm staying here till it fills me,
With what you didn't give,
I'm letting it in so I can live.
It's cooling my anger,
You're lucky it came before I found you,
I may forgive you someday,
But until then, this rain is gonna wash you away.
The art of stretching A CanvasThe Art of Stretching a Canvas
Throughout the ages, masters of painting created works of art on many different surfaces, but the most effective and luring of these was canvas. Unfortunately, for them, the common art store did not exist. Therefore they had to resort to crafting their own canvases with supplies that were available.
Today, this method is still used and not only does it keep the tradition alive, it is also practical and rewarding. To begin you will need these materials: four stretcher bars, Canvas, linen, or cotton sheets, staple guns and a few extra staples, a stretcher grip, a large paint brush, some screws, wire, and finally to give a nice touch and a smooth flat surface, Gesso. You may also want a friend's assistance for it can be difficult to do alone.
You are now ready to start. First, choose four stretcher bars to achieve the desired size of canvas. Connect the bars together to create a frame. Then use an inner corner of a door jam to press the edges of your bars ag
